Broke 2 Wheel Studs :(

Default Broke 2 Wheel Studs :(

Well saturday i started to put my new suspension on and broke to wheel studs . Took it to tread quarters and they said 180 dollars per stud installation anyone think im being over charged?

not that hard to do, just have some basic tools and you can do it in 30 mins or so.

And a trusty hammer/mallot to remove them.

Put some washers on the stud and tighten the lugnut down to pull it tight against the back of the hub...done.

my friends and i were changing springs and we broke about 2 studs. So i went down to honda bought the studs went to a tire place and they charged me 20 bucks

yeah man go somewhere else, or you can just DiY

ya u getting ripped good. Most shops do it for 20-30 each stud, and thats including the stud.

Wow people these days can be real shady. Back when I used to work at a body shop I got three wheel studs and three lug nuts for $2.29 from Honda. Did it myself in about 25 minutes with the right tools... So yeah dude if you do it for $180, then consider yourself owned!
