Default Cold start problem

When the outside temperature is below 45º, my car wont start. The engine turns but it acts like it's not getting any fuel. When it gets warm outside, it starts just fine. It has a new battery so thats not the problem.
It's a 1989 automatic Civic LX..

Does it always happen in low temperatures or is it random?

Is that new battery the right one? Does it have the correct cold cranking amps? It should be rated at 410 CCA. Could be something else like the ingition switch or the rotor inside the distributor. First i check the battery if the right one for your cars needs. Good luck man.

Your battery info is total horseshit. You need to learn more and post less.

OP, do you get any CELs when it doesn't start? It could be an IACV issue.

i had that problem b4. well i think i mught be the same. when u keep the key on the ON postion and just let it crank does the care eventually start? if so check your temperature sensors. one of my wires broke off and i couldnt start it at -5c or less. had to plug the car up at night. never had to do that in my life. but check that and let me no.
