Weird Cold Starting Problem
My car seems to have problems starting every now and then. I turn the key and all i hear is a click. I know it isn't the battery or alternator. So the only thing could be starter. Although, after i compression start it and drive it to where ever i'm going.. I can shut it off and start it right back up. Anyone have a clue why this is? Battery doesn't like the cold? Starter is having problems in the cold?
Getting tired of pushing my car, and starting it like it's a cool race car.

Are you sure. The problem seems more like the battery. The cold weather can effect a battery. If you were having troubles with the starter, I would lean more into saying it would be all the time, not just when it is cold.

cold start injector(is it injected lol- multi pint or single???) check resistance and put AN LED test light across the plug to check it, cannot stress how important it is to use an led test light and not a tungsten(t draws too much current, also on/off is to slow for injectors)

Yeah, that's what i'm thinking too. We'll see in a second when i try to start it for work. I mean if I can compression start it.. that doesn't mean that the battery is good right?

no it's not an injector problem

i doubt thats the problem. reason for that is because if i can compression start it. then it isn't a ground. i'm thinking it's the battery because sometimes when i just hold the key there it'll eventually turn over. any other ideas?

update: the car still starts... and haven't really had any delay. it also hasn't been as cold i think. so i'm thinking it could just possibly be the battery or something retarded. cuz every now and then i'd have to hold the key there a little longer than usual before it even cranks over.
for example.. turn key.. click.. hold it there... 1 sec.. 2 sec.. 3 sec.. cranks over and starts.
