B16a2 300Whp goal Help me Plz
Hi guys i Have a Ek With a B16a2 Swap from a Si that had 60k on it.
my goal For the Car is to Get to 300 whp Daily driven Boosted Safely
Here is what i have so far
B16a2 Complete Motor
Skunk 2 IM
Turbonetics T3 Turbo
Evolution wastegate
12.1 Vortec Fmu
Treadstone intercooler
prety much Complete turbo setup
now for internal as far as i know it i am Stock.
what do i need internal wise as in pistons ect. will my 1.6L be a good candidate or should i spend 1k on a bored .85 mm B16a2 Block and have a better bottom end
i am open to all sugestions Just remember i am only trying for 300-350 Whp mabe 400 whp if it is still safe to do so

first ditch the fmu, If u want to make over 300 hp and be safe u need to get tuned. Im running about 300 hp on my b16 for about 8 months now, car was tuned with crome and stock internals. If u want to push more than that then I would upgrade your rods and pistons.

x2 with what every one else says ditch fmu but i would go the long way of gettin aem ems kinda pricy but it is good.. id get it tuned on chrome or hondata. those are my 2 tops..
this is my setup, i just made 290 hp and 18x torque. was gonna boost more, but i made enough power on 10 psi, i didnt feel like and putting in a new map sensor
and messing with the boost controller (profec b spec2)

Spoolin perf. custom downpipe with Cutout
Spoolin perf. Charge piping
Blox intake manifold
Skunk2 Camgears
Ctr cams
Drag intercooler
tial wastegate with 10lb spring
rc550cc saturated injectors
greddy type RS bov
.60 trim t3/t4e
tuned on cromepro by jeremy at redzone
the turbo is pretty big for the little b16, but its fully spooled around 5k, and once vtec hits the car rips

i love to use a bigger turbo for any street application i'll be going with the 60-1 or sc61 on my b16 thats in progress of being built..... nothing wrong with a little lag ..i'll make my boost out there

i wish i could get those numbers on stock internals... id be too scared to turn up the boost that high...
