I'm just wondering if this sounds normal. Ls block, p30 pistons, stock b16 head. compression test yields 165 160 170 155. The numbers itself sounds low for the build. Motor still runs strong and does not burn any oil. Is there an explanation for this. Car was not warmed up when this was done.
you should warm it up first and have the throttle wide open when doing the compression test. my old lss vtec with pr3 pistons was 265 all across

it should be a bit higher cause the pistons has a higher dome than the stock. i can see a stock ls block would read 160. i put together stock ls vtec and b20 vtec that reads 180psi
