Default compression test

i'm trying to find out what kind of pistons i have without taking the head off, is there a way i can find out my compression by doing a compression test? I'm hopin i have stock p72 pistons which would yield a 9.8 compression on my poor mans hype R but is there any way to find out what compression i'm at by doing a compression tesT? thanks

No you cannot find out what pistons you have from a compression test reading. All the reading tells you is the condition of your pistons/engine.

Ie. you can have high compression ration pistons and still have a low compression test......which can mean several things(rings, gasket, etc)

Gotta take of the head.

you can tell the difference from stock. 180 is nominal for a 9.1 motor so if you pull consistant 200's or so then you most likely have the p72 pistons, but like said above it's not the best way to test.
