Default NEed help.

01 Type R stock everything. Car idles rough has CEL code for secondary o2, changed plugs they were carbon filled. Put new ones in and withing a week they were black again. Some one told me that the secondary o2 doesnt affect performance, so the o2 wouldnt make the car run rich and act wierd. Yesterday i started the car and it turn off within a minute, then everytime that i would try to start the car it would turn off immediately. I tried for hours to figure it out. I left it for about 2 hrs, then i tried again and after thge 4th time it turned on. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

Theres something causing the car to run rich. You have prolly fouled out your 02 sensor from the richness. I would agree, do a comp test, its cheap and easy.

It's really broad man... Is your maintanence up to spec? i.e. Distributor cap/button/plugs/wires/fuel filter.

could also be your ignition switch with the car starting and dying over and over. next time it starts and is idling, grab your key and move it around while the cars running, if it stalls you need an ignition switch

or, you flooded the **** out of it and it wouldn't start

I assume no CELs? Valve's adjusted to spec? timing set correctly? timing belt didn't skip a tooth? confirmed spark at all four plugs?

need more info on what you've done so far. What were the comp numbers btw?
