Default Car sputtering/pulsating

Yesterday I ran the tank pretty empty, and all of a sudden I started sputtering/pulsating at idle, and during acceleration. Car gets no response once it hits 3500rpm. Rpm are steady the whole time. I thought it was something to do with fuel, so I replaced fuel filter and cleaned injectors. Scanned my ECU and I'm throwing code 41, heated O2 sensor. O2 is brand new as of 4000kms ago, but when I take it out, is completely black. Can I clean it? I don't know why it would go bad so quickly. I tried running with it unplugged, but same symptoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you put any gas in it?
O2 turned black 10 mins after you installed it, If you try to clean an O2 you will damage the element

Yeah, I filled it up. O2 didn't turn black after a couple starts, just didn't get rid of the code. I'm starting to think it wasn't the O2 in the first place, but something down the line that is throwing the O2 off. The heater element in the old one still works, when I turn on the ignition it heats up. Thanks so much for your help, but my other thread explains the problem better. I'm just a dumbass and made 2 threads, ha.
