tial 44mm wastegate - supposed to leak?
I just bolted on a brand new tial 44mm wg on my hatch (7psi spring), and started it up. I didnt have time to make a dump for it yet so its open right at the gate. When I started up the car I heard an exhaust leak. I thought it was the vband flange but it was coming from the outlet. I pulled it off and I could see light between the valve and the seat on the WG. Are they supposed to leak? I didnt see this with my tial 38mm...
i need pics.... i must be missing something.
the one that i bought was an open package... i knew something was missing...

if you hooked the top port of the gate to a normally open boost control solenoid it will suck the gate open with vacuum from the motor . if you running a small spring that is

i got it from tuning factory. i bought it brand new unopened, then returned it. they never put the balance back on my credit card, and then they went under. i called them up and said they better at least give me my wastegate back, and they did.... except it was an opened package and one of the flanges was used.

In the picture the firering is still on the gate BUT in that same picture they have another one sitting in front of the clamps. There are 2 clamps and then the ring. You could also call it a valve seat if that helps you.
OP on your gate if you look inside from the outlet in, is the valve completely sealed around or can you see a slight gap between the valve and the gate body?
