Default engine bay cover thing??

ok i have seen this in pictures and have tried to find it but i don't know what it is or what it costs. it is a plastic shield that covers the gap between your front bumper and your sub frame where your hood latch is. does anyone know what im talking about or what it is called thanks ill try to find pics

yeah thats what i was thinking of thanks for the help but damn they are expensive. is there any function aside from cleaning up the engine bay?

They help reduce a slight amount of drag, but nothing that will ever be noticable it really is just for looks.

Thats what I was thinking. I wanted to pickup a water temp gauge and make my own cooling plate, sort of a before and after test to see if there is any difference in temp whatsoever.

I have only seen them on cars when people are trying to clean up the engine bay not someone trying to cool the motor off.

It smooths out the lines.

In my example, it pulls other parts of the engine bay together too (because of the similar colors).

Looks nice, I just cant justify spending $70 plus shipping for something that is going to make my engine bay look nice. I dont pop my hood that much lol. If anything I would like to make my own.
