Default Best way to make 14b externally wastegated

Ok so im building up by 14b turbo to put on my D series motor, and want to make it externally gated because of the stock boost that the 14b is set at. What would be the BEST way to go about doing this? Theres not a way to ajust the 14b wastegate, like different springs?

Remove the wastegate actuator/arm. Weld the flapper door shut. Use an external wastegate

I would get 9psi on me dsm when it had a line going straight from the boost reference to the actuator.

You can make a o2 housing that mounts that external wastegate off the internatl wastegate port.

Something like this:

I could swear I just answered this on HMT or something...

Get a different actuator, as you can really make any OEM bulb-style work. There are a couple old cars that had 5-7psi WG's, and I'm sure there are a few that are just waiting to be sold/given away because the owner went with an external.

If you want to go lower, I can't see why. You can always modulate the throttle to go a bit below max boost, as well as almost any Honda block can take 8psi from a 14b in stock form. Otherwise if you want to go higher, a $10 manual boost controller will work wonders...
