the stock honda ingnition will be fine for the power levels you are looking at.. also i would upgrade from the 2.5 inch dp, to a 3 inch dp, with 3 inch all the way back.. good luck with it. and post up some numbers after you get tuned

I'm interested in this as well. I recently bought a custom kit from a friend. I'll be building a gsr block for boost for it. Your setup looks more complete than mine currently.

At the moment my plan is to use
stock sleeves, maybe a blockguard...I'm unsure if I'll need it.
Eagle Rods
Wiseco Pistons 9:1-9.7:1 not really sure shich ones to buy yet
stock GSR head and IM
I do have BC4's but I'm thinking about selling them and just buying an intake cam.

Here's what I have in the kit
Garrett T3/T4e 54 trim .63
Inline Pro SS Manifold
3" DP w turndown
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM FPR
BBK 255
RC 750cc
Hondata s200b
Greddy Profec B
Tial 38mm
Apexi BOV
24" x 12" x 3" IC w piping

I'd like to shoot for 350-425 on high boost, what else do I need to reach that?

Sorry for the thread hijack. I'd just like to see more input on building GSR's for boost. I've been in the all motor camp for some time now.

your list has all the major things. there is ALOT of debate about block guards, I would NOT run one under any circumstance. You may want to get upgrades springs and retainers to carry the revs out a little past stock (not too far on stock sleeves though). and i'm not sure if that turbo can push 425hp.

edit: add cam gears.

Thanks for the feedback, I've heard both sides of the blockguard debate years ago. I'd rather not use it but I didn't know what the stock sleeves could hold.

I definitely plan on doing valvesprings when I do cams. Cam gears scare me, I've seen a lot of them slip. I'm honestly not stuck on 425, I just really want to break the 400whp mark.

Yeah your turbo is going to be dieing lol. My 57trim is only rated at 450whp and you have a 54trim. So yea upgrade to a bigger turbo. Get a 3inch downpipe and 3inch all the way back. Get larger injectors to be on the safe side. Valve springs and retainers wouldnt hurt. Then after that you should be good to rock.
