what gt30 turbo to get? help me decide!
so i've been told by many that the gt30 turbo would suit my setup well, but theres a bunch of different gt30's and i dont know which one i should get.
my setup consists of:
b18c1 engine
wiseco low comp pistons
eagle rods
polished crank
ge block guard
omni power dual valve springs
3 angle valve job
arp headstuds
skunk2 cam gears
crome
this will be in my everyday car, but i will take it to the strip about once a week(hopefully!!) in the summer. so i would need good spool characteristics, but i still want to be capable of running low 11's.
the two different gt30's to choose from are:
gt3071r
gt3076r
one of the main differences i noticed was that the gt3076r was a t3 flanged turbo, which is much more compatible with my manifold options.
now theres a few different versions of the gt3071r. they can be seen at these links:
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/...3.htm
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/...0.htm
and heres the different options for the gt3076r:
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/...2.htm
i dont know which trim and a/r for which turbo would suit me best and thought you guys could help me out. i will be buying directly from garrett and just need to give them the part numbers of what i need. thats why i am referencing their website, instead of a sellers website. any help is appreciated!!!!

Re: (civicskater)
Id say go with the GT3076R .63 AR hotside. That should give you good spool and room to grow in terms of power. This is a 400-500whp turbo at its limits. You'll get 550whp outta the .82 AR if you max it.
Check out this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1513064
in it you will see DontBlink's dyno plot (its pimp) and you can also check out Andrea's plot a well, but she's using the .82 AR. Both comment on their turbos and seem happy with them. The rest is up to you.
As for the GT3071, i dont deal with 5 bolt t25 turbines bro....and from your setup and supporting mods, you should'nt either. You in the big leagues now baby.
