Shifting is mushy??

Shifting is mushy??
when shifting into 1st 3rd and 5th gears, it feels mushy. once it's in gear, it also goes a little past where it's supposed to. for normal driving it go's into gear but as soon as i try to "speed shift" i get nothing. ill put it into gear wait a sec and still at high rpm's it acts up? possibly low on tranny fluid?

yes and the clutch grabs like a mother its a stage 3 competition clutch
cruzing around the gears go in fine but its when i try to shift a high rpms is when it does this .....wahhhhhhhhhhh *clutch-gear then 1sec then release clutch* then wiiiiinnngggg
and then shifting feels mushy like it doesn't engage but it is engaged

That won't do anything.
@ OP:
It's probably your shifter linkage bushings. Not just the ones at the bottom of the shifter (although that's possible) but the ones where it meats the trans as well.
Mine was bad at the trans - replaced it last night w/ the one from the new trans (they torched the linkages off).

well. in my friend's ep3, he had a third gear grinding problem (the a3 trans is notorious for this) so we got honda mtf and gm synchromesh and flushed out the old and put the mtf and like 1/6 synchromesh and it fixed it. i can't remember exactly how much synchromesh we put but it wasn't too much.

I know, I've heard all the orgasmic flies about GM Syncromesh and Honda MTF.
"My tranny was grinding and the magnet filled up and a piece of 3rd gear fell out when I drained the fluid, and the input shaft bearing rolled out, and the throwout bearing FELL out.
I filled that thing up with Honda MTF and it's smooth as a baby's ***!!"
Yea, I've heard it all before.
If you're grinding, you're grinding, the only thing Honda MTF is gonna do is provide you with the exact amount of lubrication so you can hide the grinding before something decides to take a crap inside your transmission and you're -1 gear.

how will i know if they are bad and if so what causes them to go out??
the tranny only has 30k on it

There are different style/shpaed bushings (as far as i know) between hydrolic and cable run shifters. Since you have the H22, If and When you go to order aftermarket bushings (such as enery suspension, ect), order them for the prelude.
