luckily coupe's were equiped in 96 so the differences are few and far between. Should be pretty easy. Good luck

only really gotta worry bout obd2-obd1.

get a jumper harness. might have to do a little wireing but its pretty straight forward.

ok, so i have a question to this... i just picked up a 95 ex for a daily driver (also have a 00 bb6). well, the head gasket is blown, all cylinders leaking. so rather than pressure test, possibly mill, etc, im looking at getting another head. i believe this motor is a d16z6... right? so would a y8 or any other d16 vtec head be straight across??? is there any difference in the head???

sorry if i seem like a newb, just new to civics. thanks.

not much difference. z6 and y8 lovers would defend their own but u can barely tell..

just get a z6 head. direct bolt on. only thing better on the y8 is the intake manifold.. which in my opinion doesn't do much. especially if you're NA. if you wanted to put a y8, u can just use the ex engine harness and you should be just fine.
