I got a Stock B16a2 with a SC61 and log mani, 3" full exhaust.
When should i expect to hit 7psi ( set by WG )??
Seems to be around 5300rpm, this sound normal? Would have thought a little lower.
Anyone with a simular setup have any bhp/tq figure or trap times?

7 psi on such a small engine, so late in the powerband, means it's going to fall off like hell whenever you shift. Unless you're busting the hell out of every gear trying to break your transmission.
You need 16-18 psi minimum to be happy with that turbo.

Why the hell do people chose turbos that are 4 times larger than what they need....if you want a car that makes power from 6500 rpm and on, then this is a great setup...if you want something that doesn't suck, look around a little more before chosing a turbo.
An SC61 can support 550+whp and you're not going to be near its efficiency range. Most people dont understand how to decide on turbos and rather than learning, just follow a bandwagon. That's why the GT35r is so popular...even on setups where it is less than 1bar. If you're looking for a fun setup on a street car, get a 3bar map sensor, a good tuning software, a GT3251b and run 14psi...you'll make a good amount of torque, have full boost before 4k rpm, and have power through redline.....AND still spend less money than the SC61

I did state in a previous post that 'the motor will be built, hence the sc61'. I have a 1.7L motor being built that will be running 1.5bar.
I understand there will be alot less lag with a GT BB turbo, and if/when i upgrade i will be going down that route.

Another common mistake...there isn't a significant amount less lag w/ the GT-R series, they are generally better engineered turbos that have a lot lbroader efficiency range. The turbos are designed around the BB CHRA...dont start thinking that it is the BB CHRA that does all the work. Converting a turbo to a ball bearing center cartridge WILL NOT improve spool, it will only help in transient response.

. i guest YOU'RE offering the turbo cheaper than a SC61. because i have never seen ANY BB turbo cheaper than $800 new

i dont use BB turbos because the cost for me do not outweight the benefits.
