I would like to know how to retard timing.....
When you say "don't retard it more than 2 degrees" do you mean 2 degrees absolute retard, or two degrees subtracted from the 16 advance (ie. total advance of 14 degrees)? Is there a way to accurately do this with just a regular timing light, one without a ****?

Stock timeing marks(on the crank pulley) are stock, +2 and -2, so if you wanted to retard 2 degrees, it would be one of the marks on the crank pulley(The one closest to the TDC mark).

Art why did you do that? don't you let Hondata retard in boost only? I leave my distributor advance at stock of 16. I run 0.75 retard per pound of boost and will likely lower that to 0.5. That means at 10psi I will be 5deg retard vs stock (which is about 21 deg total advance at 10psi and 7000rpm.
