did i do my ignition timing right?
Notice that I have a timing gun w/ dial and set it to 16deg and I've advanced it to 18deg (+2deg advance). A normal TDC for b16a is 16 +-2deg. I'm confused if I'm supposed to dial it at 0 or at 16.
I just wonder if I did it right. Thanks.

Re: (dchung1)
Set your timing light to "0" then you can adjust the **** till you get the line lined up perfectly and the number shown on the timing light will tell you how much it's off by.
But for just setting the timing you can leave it at "0" and adjust away...

Re: (Alstare)
If you have a gun with a dial, set it to the desired timing (in this case, 18) and adjust the dizzy until the lone mark is at the top (the one for 0).
If you have a gun without a dial, turn the dizzy until the mark you want (14,16,18) is at the top.

Shoot. Looks like I did it all wrong. I need to dial it to 0deg and then advance it to 18deg on the pulley mark. Thanks guys!
