Canadian EH
I just purchased a 92 hatch with a 99 d16y8 with 68k. Im not new to hondas I have owned a 99 gsr and a 2000 si. My ? is why my vin says EH and not EG. I'm pretty sure it is a canadian version and just wandering if anyone has any info on this. thanks.
Only the 92-95 Civic sedan and Del Sol VTEC in North America had the EGx chassis code. The EGx chassis code was used in Japan, Europe, Asia, and Australian markets. Here in North America, the hatchbacks were designated EHx and coupes were EJx.
well it is an eg. basically people just classify it into one of the three categories; ef eg ek. much easier to picture what kind of civic you have rather then giving the vin number

Not really. I remember you used to get flamed around for calling your EH2 an EG6.
Call it what you like though, proud to say I have a ED3 among my current 4 Hondas.
