dseries built turbo setup how much power can i make?
I was just wondering how much power i could make with my current setup because someone told me only 250 and i was like NO WAY
d16y8 bored and honed .040 over
- 9:1 JE pistons w/ Eagle rods
- ARP head bolts
- Head is resurfaced and polished
- brand new gaskets
- performer x intake manifold
- (I have the edelbrock kit)...... t28 turbo ball bearing brand new, dsm 450s, tuned on chrome at 15 psi but no dyno runs yet, 2.5" exhaust, internal wastegate, tial sequential BOV, spearco intercooler
I was thinking i could make at least 270-280 wheel horse and i was just wondering wat other people think or if anyone disagrees with me or any suggestions thanks a lot

youll probibly make 250-300. its hard to tell though my y8 with vitara pistons eagle rods made 210 at 10psi with a stock cat.
with that setup you should see any where between 260 to 280. the t28 tops out pretty early, but you will love the powerband it has
The injectors will definitely NOT max out. 450cc/min is actually overkill for a street driven sohc. 310cc/min would be more appropriate, and easier to tune with. If you wanna be able to run on pump gas, and have a smooth ride, stay around 12-14lbs, you'll get around 230-240whp (which is plenty!!!). If you're tuning for the track, or if you don't care if your motor blows after 15k miles, you can keep it at 15lbs, and make 240-260whp. You won't notice the difference, but your motor will.
