Custom Turbo Setup
hey, um im planning on going wiht a Custom Turbo setup for my 97 SH prelude, but not too sure on what exactlyi need and parts and brands and everything, can you guys PLEASE help me out, im looking for around 400whp range and something that will put up with that. so far i have a To4e turbine in mind, GReddy TYPE S bov, and honestly i woudl say thats it and a Tial wastegate, internals i have Crower or Eagle rods in mind, RE-sleeving but not sure what brand yet, and JE pistons or Arias 9:5:1 forged pistons. like exhuast mani, intake mani, um head gaskets and intercooler and pipping and all im not sure on adn what brands or sizes or what else exatcly i need for a complete custom setup...PLEASE help me out here. thanks a lot!
for a custom setup, the 1st thing you wanna get is a welder. you cant buy a custom setup. so that means you will need charge pipes made, exhausts, downpipes, etc,
sounds like you got a good start on the parts your looking to get. eagle rods will be fine for the power you want and our a little cheaper. if you releeving, your going to here 100 different options. ge, benson, darton, etc. all killer sleeves. as long as it's done right. you should not have a issue with either company.
intake manifold you can just keep the one you got, exhaust manifold, dont get something cheap or it will crack. 250-500 should get you a decent one unless you want a tubular from lovfab, or full race, then you looking for a little more. for the intercooler. bigger is not always better, get something that flows nice and fits your bumper.
