unhook all connections to the rest of the car... axles, vacum, electrical, fuel, etc.

then unbolt motor mounts

then drop out motor.

and lable everything so u can put it back together right.

remove the subframe, axles, all wiring and hoses, have a hoist holding it from up top and an engine catcher on the bottom. u gotta drop it out the bottom in case it wasnt obvious from the lack of clearance when opening the hood. it's a bitch. it's costly, and its time consuming. if u dont know what u are doing, then take it to the dealer and pay the $1500 for pulling it out and putting the new one in. damn our tiny *** clearance for doing **** in these cars!

oh yea, why do u have to remove it?

I had to post to find out how to jack my car up and where to put the jackstands. And I've built motors/swapped motors before. Go figure.

His point is that every car is different, and sometimes you are so used to other platforms that the basic functions of a new platform escape you.
