Default Radiator Issues.

Radiator issues.

Just installed a Mishoto Radiator w/ Slim fan already welded on. I know its not that hard to install this since theres only 1 screw and 2 tubes and reserve tank but im just making sure. On the fan I had to cut the OEM wires to make them join with the new fan wires.

OEM Wires = 1.Black w/ Red Stripe
2. Solid Black.

Slim Fan Wires= 1. Solid Balck
2. Solid Blue.

So I connected the Solid Black's together and the Blue and Black/Red together.

I turn the car on everything seems to be fine. Let it warm up for about 15 minutes just to see if the temp goes up. Which it doesn't. It stays at normal.

My concern is when does the fan go on?
I want to make sure the fan is working. I thought if you turn the key all the way but not starting it, it goes on. But mine doesn't.

Any help?

theres a brown sensor on the thermostat housing if you remove the connector and jump it with a paper clip you fan should come on

no jump start, jump the connector, when you take the connector off stick a paper clip in the 2 holes, then start the key to the on position if your fan comes on wired it right if not try again, make sure its spinning the right way

So just go outside, disconnect the connecter. Stick a paper clip in the two holes and turn key to on with out starting and it should turn on?

If I got that right which way should it spin if sitting in the drive seat. Clock-wise or Counter?

Thanks so much.

yeah just make sure you turn the key all the to on you don't have to start. as far as which way it should spin not sure but look at the fan it should spin so that it pulls air if its inside the engine bay, blowing hot air towards the tranny you'll figure it out

It worked! The Slim Fan is pushing air towards the tranny! Thanks a lot bro.

Appreciate it a lot.

I will take pictures tomorrow and post up on here. I like it a lot. I was suprised about the quality. I love how the slim fan is very quiet. Good cheep combo FTW!

Thanks again.
