I'm posting this for someone else.. but here is a copy/paste of his email.. he has a 1998 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L 5 Speed

I got in my car at the end of the
night and started driving and had problems with my clutch. Basically what
happens is, when you hold the clutch to the floor, the clutch actually sticks
to the floor and it releases on it own. So when you are at a light if you
keep it in gear the car becomes an automatic and then if you let it fight
with the brakes will actually stall out.

I've never really enountered tranny problems.. other than needing a clutch replacement so I don't know.> i was thinkin maybe its the master cyl.. what do you guys think? this isn't my car.. so I dont know any other details..

 

Yeah, I saw this email on Yahoogroups Albert. It sounds like an odd problem, almost like the clutch spring disengaged or something. We need more info. First, has he inspected underneath the pedal for any leaking brake fluid from the clutch master cylinder? Check along the firewall. Next inspect the slave master cylinder.
