Default Clutch problem, engaging too early.

my problem is that when i am at a stop, sometimes when i am engaging 1st gear it will engage too early. this problem comes and goes, when it does happen my car will jump forward a bit because it is unexpected and the feel of the clutch pedal is completely off. I have bled the clutch fluid and nothing has changed.

HT help me out please

Your clutch master or slave cylinder sounds like it's bleeding down. It only happens in first because you're sitting a the light with your foot on the clutch for so long. Try this and see if it works: When you come to a red light, stop sign, etc., put the car in neutral and let off the clutch pedal. When it is time to go, push the pedal, engage first and you're off, hopefully without incident. If this solves your problem then you know you have to replace your clutch master or slave cylinder.

thank you for the reply, i think it may be the slave cylinder only because it is the older of the two parts. clutch cylinder is the original part from the car and the slave cylinder was from a JDM B16. i appreciate your help.

No problem, if you're not sure about how to change one, I just answered this on another post, but it might have been in the integra section. Fairly easy, but make sure you use a flange wrench.

if both are original, replace them both. also make sure you have 3/4 of an " of pedal.
