why is my timing always jumping?
this is the third time it has jumpede... first time just one tooth... second time, it bent valves and head was useless.... today it jumped again like 5 tooths, after new head install (drove for like 10mins)... could it be my timing belt is too old... or could heat cause it to jump... because for some reason my motor seems to heat up really fast... its really hot after a 5 min drive... what could be causing my timing belt to jump?
theres another thing also... up in cylinder 1 (top right corner, end on intake cam) it seems like the cam is seizing up (scarred up) could that be causing the timing to jump? or is jumped timing causing the cam/head to scarr up?
when i pulled over after the car died (when the timing jumped) i felt the timing belt and it was really tight... but after redoing the timing, it went back to normal (belt tension)...

If you think the belt is too old then yes it probably is and if there are ANY marks on the cams you have big problems.
not to be rude but i dont think you have the experience to be messing with this you need to let someone else do it or get some help from someone that know what they are doin they should be able to figure it out in a second, you are fixing to trash another motor.
