Mount problem.
So I bought a 93 civic a while ago with a very badly running b16. The quirks have been worked out, but I haven't been able to figure out what the deal is with the mounts. I have a hasport rear mount, passenger side mount and some stock looking mount on the driver's side. Now the car actually had a third hasport mount in the car (unknowingly in the trunk at time of purchase
) and it does not line up quite right with the driver's side. Basically the angle of the holes is not quite right.
From what I've been able to find there are two different styles of eg b series mounts that hasport offers, and the one I have "looks" pretty close, but it's hard to tell since hasport has such shitty pictures on their website.
Mounts

Close up to show how far off the "oem" mount is

Passenger mount for reference

"Extra" Mount on it's own

Help anyone?

check that it is the correct (dc2) rear T bracket. Hasport sells the DCSTK for eg's with b18 drivers side mount and the EGSTK for eg's with b16 style drivers side mount(which your is). only thing that could push that forward is the wrong rear bracket as far as i can think of
Is it possible that the bracket that the driver's mount bolts to is crooked or loose in some way? On my B16 in my garage that bracket is all sorts of loose so maybe yours could be the same.
So you have attempted to install it and it doesn't work or....?
It seems really close, plus the holes look to be larger than the studs, so it may have some room to wiggle.
With as simple as that mount is to install, I would pull the stocker and see how close it lines up. It could just be a problem with human eyes. Kinda like those games where they ask you which object is bigger, and the only difference is the color and spacing... (its alright if that makes no sense.)

Yeah I tried unbolting the driver's side and jacking the car up to put the other one on, but to no avail. The angle on the hasport mount just looks wrong.
You have the early (90-93) DA left hand mount bracket on that motor, so you can either get the newer mount bracket (99-00 Si/94-97 Del Sol VTEC), or you can buy the Hasport EGBLH mount, either way will fix the problem. Also, that mount on the passenger side is not a Hasport mount..

Sounds like you've got some mounts to order, Dre. Is this for the Civic?
