Default New From WI

Just wanted to say Hello!!

Been reading on this site recently and am going to need advice soon regarding my sway, so I figured I would sign up. Seems to be a lot of great information here that will be a big help with my swap.

Live in Wisconsin, and have a 1995 Civic DX automatic, soon to be transformed into a Civic VX 5 speed fuel efficient machine.

Yes, I know the vtec-e's are slow as can be, but with gas prices and 50mpg, how could one resist.

Welcome. What are your plans other than auto to manual? Any pics?

Just doing the auto to manual swap and installing the vtec-e motor. Making a DX into a VX isn't as easy as I had planned because finding a VX harness is pretty tough these days. Hopefully when I am able to post a wanted ad on here I can start a better search for my parts. Once I get the parts, I will post up pics during the conversion.

Thanks for the welcome!!

Yes, the gas prices and my commute are the sole reason for the vtec-e and VX transmission swap.

Yeah, and that can change to a $.40-$.50 jump in a matter of minutes with no reasoning.
