turning an auto into a manual
i found a salvage civic that would be a wonderful project/fixer upper car... unfortunately, its an auto... say, down the line i choose to do a swap... which of course, it would need to be a manual... i'd need to do a conversion... has anyone here done this? what parts do you need, how hard, etc. is it? i've heard its a real pain in the ***... i'd like some insight on to this situation.
its really not bad of a deal. i've done a couple of them. Just make sure you got all the parts before you start tearing down. email me if you got questions

Not too bad if you get all the parts needed and know someone/somewhere to do the swap/install(to save on labor costs), but it can be a pain and expensive for sure.
The original Hybrid Board has a decent (not great) tech article on the swap.
