Bad idle, Tryed a million things

Default Bad idle, Tryed a million things

Hey guys/Gals....

One day i was driving home, and my outer CV Joint just snaps out of place, the bearings just separated. So i replaced the cv joint and attempted to start the motor. Wont turn over. The motor haven't enough compression to start..

The timing had jumped. Set back the timing and started up the car. Started. Now heres the sweet part.... I just don't get a steady idle. My fuel gauge also fluctuates with the erratic idle.


I tryed a working ICAV, Cleaned Tb/Intake Manifold. Cleaned Gas Tank, Blew out Fuel Lines, Changed Fuel Filter, New jvc plug Wires.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

double check the timing... electrical included, then perform a compression test and see if u bent something inside.

Compression was 180 across the board.

he means the FITV which is bolted under your throttle body. here's a how-to article on it:

hey with the idle problem i had the same prob found out i had wrong intake manifold gasket and thats why the idle was going up and down or ur IM gasket is jacked up

thanks for the response, what do i check to see whats not grounded?

BYPASSED coolant lines under TB and IACV. Compression is 180 180 180 180.

What else can i check guys
