b18a jumped time, bent valve?
I got a car that jumped time cause the timing belt tensioner came loose. I reset the timing and now the car idles but dies when i try to give it gas. Is the car messed up or is the timing 180 out? Will the car idle with a bent valve? or what are the symptoms of being 180 out or did i set the timing on the wrong stroke?

Something is a miss with your timing..
Double check that all marks are properly lined up (use balancer single mark, not the group of 3 marks) and try again..
If everything is lined up and you're still having problems try doing a compression check. a bent valve will result in low compression test result, misfire, running rough, and pulsating intake vacuum. (easily check with a vacuum gauge)

Re: b18a jumped time, bent valve?
The marks were dead on, so i probably timed it on the wrong stroke, ill reset it. I think my compression gauge is broken cause it was reading 0 compression but the car does start and idle. just dies when i give it gas
ill reset it tomorrow and see how it goes

compression was zero? all the way across the board or just one cylinder?
to make sure your at TDC and on the correct stroke....try this. install your compression gauge, slowly tap the ignition to crank car. when compression starts to build, align crank to TDC> that is the correct stroke you need to be on
