Default next step from a 60-1

i run a b16a stock head/cams/valves with a t60-1 with a 0.63a/r tubine, i run 32psi in the little bugger and have ran a best time of 10.207@144.21mph ( car weighs 1900lbs) looking at going with a bigger turbo, just not sure with which one.
im looking at running a minimum of 150mph and keeping a t3 flange pattern.
what are your thorts on the t3/t67 with a 0.82a/r? or will i need to go bigger to run a 9 sec pass @150mph?

why dont you start with a simple housing swap on your turbine, and see where that can take you ?

you think there is that much gain in housing swaps? 0.82 or a 1.06?
need more hp between 7000-9500rpm!

Yes in fact you will get a gain from that. Even though its not a huge step its still a gain.

.82 and try since its only a 1.6 then run as much boost as you can, if that doesn't get you nines then you know will then need something bigger

i bet a swap to ITR cams would give you 40whp

meh, i would say some stage1 turbo cams with low overlap, and some adjustable cam gears to tune out the rest of the overlap would be better...

going to a larger turbine housing will reduce reversion

go with the much bigger turbine at least a 1.06 and some bigger cams. if that doesnt get you where you want to be, then the t4/67 or gt4088r would be a logical choice.

Uhm, there's something wrong here, and it's not the turbo size.

89 CRX HF, weighs right at 2000 lbs without the driver due to swap, cage, etc.
84mm B18C
SC44 (.60 T04E/T3 hybrid with .63 AR stage five housing/turbine)

The most I could get out of the car was 477 @ 31 psi, but it made 460+ for the last 2800 rpms of it's powerband which is one hell of a usable chunk of power that doesn't fall off between shifts. Running 27-28 psi it turned a best of 10.38@148 with a 1.78 60', and that was on stock suspension bushings and a couple of mickey mouse suspension hacks. The upgrade for this car is 80% likely going to be a 60-1, and the goal is 9.7-9.8's.

Got any dyno sheets so I could get an idea of the shape of your powerband, videos of the car running, etc?

no dyno sheet sorry!had it on the dyno a while back to give it a quick tune on c16 at 20psi it made 350whp, since then we have been logging it at the track and making adjustments from there....
im rekon its making around 480-520whp at 32psi

Apples vs Orangutans, since the car I'm comparing yours to is an 84mm two liter and no two dynos read exactly the same, but it sounds like you're a bit down on power in the upper boost range since you didn't get time to tune up there. I think you could muscle into the 9's off the current turbo and spending a little time extracting more power from what you have.

It sounds like you want a bit more out of the car and are looking for an excuse to upgrade to a larger turbo, and there is nothing wrong with that. Good luck with it!
