getting a hi flow cat, are they illegal in california ?

 

unless it comes with a carb legal sticker, any modification to the motor is illegal in cali. So yes they are illegal, but is the cop really going to know? You might have troubles passing smog but you can just switch the stock one in when it come that time.

 

i think the worse the cop will do is give you a fix it ticket if you do get pulled over. although you might have to visit the state ref and thats gonna be a pain

high flow cat is legal in cali.

 

I don't think you will pass emissions with a high flow cat in California.

 

high flow cats dont pass cali smog but the only one i know that will pass is the CA cat by car sound.

yea u pass exhaust sound db noise i passed my test with stock exhaust n high flow cat ... gotta watch out for exhausts n high flow cats though i dont think u will pass
