What it will depend on is the whp goal.

What engine?

You're good for 200-250 whp on a good tune if you have compression that checks out.

Get a leakdown test too, both will help show you what condition your motor is in.

i have a stock b16a (jdm high compression) with a .60 trim gt30r on 8psi, its held up for a little over a month now with 270 whp and i dog it everywhere, but that is a b series, i think your good for 250, if anything put a better headgasket

B-series are certainly good for 300-330 whp on stock internals. There are several with 500whp with just minor valvetrain mods.

D-series this will be harder to accomplish.

My buddy just made 228 whp and 209wtq with a stock z6 on 12 psi.
Not bad,and its not much slower than my hatch surprisingly.
Not the same turbo though..
