my friend is having problems with his 95 prelude vtec. when the car is cold it runs great and once it gets hot, it runs like ****. it sputters and has no pick-up. anyone having this problem? any answers? he appreciates greatly,

 

I had a similar problem with my h23. my distributor timing was off a few degrees. If you have access to timing light, test its timing. If not, maybe advance or retard the timing to see if it fixes the problem. (just a shot in the dark, i'm sure someone will have a better opinion, but thats a quick easy test to eliminate one possibility)

has anything been done to it (mods/ replacements)? how/when did the problem start happening?

 

check timing and spark plugs wires cap and rotor.
listen to your injectors.
block off your egr then try it (piece of tin or something)

 

thanks for the ideas. my friend bought it and the car's motor was never modded except for a cheap ebay intake and header. the problem is that it wasnt modded but the former owner did not care for it well i guess. i'll tell him the ideas. thanks.

VTEC solenoid, ignition wires, spark plug, make sure there oil in the car:D my ludes' vtec wasn't working last week because of my ignition wires/solenoid being dirty.
