Default Loose Steering!! Help

what can cause your steering wheel to feel loose while driving along. when at a dead stop the steering feels normal and somewhat stiff. there is no loss of steering response whatsoever just the steering wheel feels nervous at high speeds.
besides tire pressure what else can this be?

Toe might cause this problem.

oh yeah i was lookin at it from a straight forward point of view since he put "or" anyways...Toe-- from a viewpoint above a car, toe is the angle of a wheel indicated when the front of the wheel is pointed more inward or outward than the rear of the wheel. When the front wheel is angled more towards the center of the car than the rear of the wheel, the wheel has toe-in. When the front of the wheel is angled away from the center of the car more than the rear of the wheel, the wheel has toe-out. Toe-in increases straight line stability. Toe-out increases response to steering inputs, but can cause a car to be unstable when driven across road surface imperfections.

Yes, that is toe when viewing from above looking down. If your toe is out, like the bottom pic, then your wheels want to wander a little more and your steering may feel a little loose. Or check your tire pressure also. Sometimes that can contribute to the loose feeling.

i've found that toe-out makes the steering feel more responsive.
