First Start up, high idle and smoking
I started my car for the first time since the turbo install, and it's idling high - 2200-2500rpm and puffing a lot of smoke. The turbo IS getting oil, and I AM running a restrictor, not sure where the smoke is coming from. Stock injectors in it just to get it running and coolant to run through it, but I haven't gotten a chance to reach operating temp. My 750cc injectors won't let it idle and I don't know how to change the settings on the Hondata s300 to compensate for the larger injector. I tried to set them, but it doesn't do **** for me, so I swapped the stock ones in just to check for any other problems. Any ideas? Shouold I take the turbo off and see if there's oil leaking past the seals in the turbo into the exh? Turbo was purchased used.

The drain is good. Stupid question, but vacuum leak from where?

The drain is a -10, so it shouldn't be a problem. I DID notice a very small leak at the drain though last I checked, very small and doesn't constantly drip.
As far as a Vacuum leak, I created a vacuum leak and the idle dropped and surged between 1100-1500.
I also notcied that the car wouldn't kick out of running rich, constantly pegged, but when the vacuum leak was created(disconnected a hose from IM) the O2 sensor started to fluctuate instead of sitting at 1V.
Still smoking though, whiteish smoke, turbo is not a wet housing.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks.

The high idle.. Could be a few things. Vac leak or FITV are most common.. or if it is OBD2, the evap purge solenoid might need unpluged.
but a smoking turbo either means it has too big of a feed, but since you have the restrictor i would count that out. But you could go with a smaller one. Drain isn't big enough or not doing the job.. or the turbo needs rebuilt.

Veh. is OBD1. I got my boost gauge connected to my vac manifold, and it sits at 20 in Hg, which tells me that there aren't any vac leaks. Or is that a bad assumption?
I aslo have the S2 TB, and I never got the thing to idle below 1100rpm last yr, kinda regretting buying the thing in the first place as I hear other ppl are having the same problem.

where/what is the evap purge solenoid

where/what is the evap purge solenoid
Evap purge is on the back of the IM usually w/2 vac lines running in and out, one in from the charcoal canister, one into the IM, purges gases from the canister if I'm not mistaken.
Not sure if I mentioned this, but the car is running pig rich, O2 stuck at 1V and I'm not sure what would cause that. I checked the plugs on the MAP and TPS and bot contain a green wire, one is green w/black stripe, one is w/yel or white stripe. I don't think I have them mized up because I didn't have this problem last year when the car went away without the turbo installed. Even with a stock LS ecu, same issue. Rich as ****.
Thanks for the input so far guys.

oh so it was running fine before and u never touched map and tps plugs? if you ever took them off and put them back on i would switch them real quick and see what happens. if that doesn't work, do you have any CEL?
