Default New shoes = I have no emergency / parking brake

I just did shoes on my beater ED6...and now I have no emergency/parking brake. (this is my first time doing shoes....its stupid)
It worked just fine before. Both sides do stop when using the pedal.

I already jacked the rear up, started the car, pressed the pedal a bajillion times, tightened the nut under the console, lever stops <6 clicks up.
Nadda
There isnt even a slight drag...

I also tried to adjust that star nut thing, but if I expand it anymore, I cant get the drum back on.
I read somewhere about a "rear adjuster"?? Is that the star nut thing?
Is there a way to adjust this nut with the drum on....magic?

Also, does the upper tension spring go over the top of the adjuster arm? I cant remember...but there is an uncoiled section exactly in the right spot for it.

There is a rubber piece on the back of the top of the backing plate. That comes out that allows you to adjust them from the outside.

I did the same thing on my EH2 back in the day. I had a spring in the wrong place.

Just went out to have a look...didnt see anything like that.
Is it near the wheel cylinder? Can I see it from the outside or is it a hole thats located within one of the holes where trailing arm bolts?

Can someone point out where this rubber plug is?
I cant seem to find it (granted, I dont really have the time to jack the rear up again and crawl underneath right now)

Oh, and Im pretty sure the springs are in the right places. Heres where they are:

Red are springs
Blue is the clevis
Outline is the (non)self-adjuster, green is its mount

It is located one the upper parts of the backing plate. You will have feel with your fingers for a rubber oval plug that will pull out then you put a screw driver or brake adjustment tool in there. It is right below the wheel cylinder.

Every CRX has them. You need to feel all over the back of that cause it is there. I know it is there...check around that area....it is close to the wheel cylinder....

I wish I had picture cause I can see it in my mind.

When I had this problem I had installed the adjusters in backwards or something along those lines.
