Default went to the track and popped out my cam seals...?

i went to the track last week and popped both my intake and exhaust cam seals right out. there was oil everywhere. has anyone ever had this happen before? i wasnt running any exta venting from the valve cover. i just removed my pcv valve and ran that line to a can as well as a line from the valve cover to that same can. im thinking about drilling some holes in my valve cover to relieve any excess pressure. why are most of you doing this on the front of the valve cover as opposed to the back? where are those lines on the front going? i was thinking about running 2 extra 1/2" tubing off the back of the valve cover to the stock oil catch can on the back of the block. ill have to drill two more holes on the top but i thought that this would help. ill also have that catch can on the back of the block vented with a little filter.

same thing happened to me after i suspected that i popped the ring lands on my stock block SOHC, i kept beating the **** out of it and one day it pushed the cam seal out. Makes for a messy situation.

I'm not saying you got a F'up motor, but i'd recomend looking into excess crank case pressure.

In my case, the ringlands where toast, which caused excess crank case pressure, which then caused the seal to blow out.

In you case, its probably safe to say youve got a crank case pressure issue, you'll have to find the source the cause.
