Default Clocking center section on a Garrett t3/t4 turbo?

I successfully clocked my compressor the way that I wanted, but when I tried to clock the center section to get the oil drain correct, it wouldn't budge.

All the bolts came loose no problem, do I need to remove them?

Did you loosen the bolts from the center housing to the turbine housing? If so then tap it with a hammer to break it loose, is it brand new? If it is it should turn freely.

Loosen The Bolts On The Hotsideof The Turbo. You Have To Really Wake It To Make It Turn. Well With My I Did At Least. Use A Soft Mallet

That is what I meant to say a MALLET not a hammer, either way softly don't kill the turbo lol

Yes.

It's not new, it's used. But, there's not a whole lot of miles on it.

So just loosen the bolts, then whack the center section with a mallet?

i would brace one side of the turbo either the turbine or compressor in a vice or if turbo is mounted to manifold loosen the bolts to turbine and use whatever housing that is not mounted/secure to use as leverage to turn the CHRA. the CHRA is small so it may be hard to hit with a "hammering device" lol.
