Tire fitment on Rims
Hi guys. A really quick question. I was talking to my friend and he is getting some new rims. His current rim size is 15X6.5. And his new rims are going to be 15X7. He is going to try to stick with his current tire.
So I was saying, if you do autocross or any high speed turns, your rims would touch the ground due to radial tires and how they freely move. Am I right or wrong? I'm 50% because its only .5 difference.

Only 1/2 inch difference, it should be OK.
Knowing the actual tire size (since you didn't tell us) you can check on tirerack.com for the allowable range of rim width for any particular size.

you would be stretching the tires a pretty good amount you might notice a slight loss in traction though
