on my crx i have a b16 with a bolt on lsd. the only problem i have with it is that it makes a clunk noise while making turns. but on straight aways its fine.
What kind of lsd is it a gear type or a disc type? The ones that use friction discs need a special oil, or regular gear oil with a friction modifier. They will always make clunking noises on very tight turns almost sounds like a bad axle but this is normal. If you have a gear type(type R quaife or OBX) you should not notice any noise.

this is correct I have a Kaaz LSd which is clutch or disc type and wow just noisy but normal and yes need special oil and speedo
and if u getting a noise from a gear type must be either a install issue or use of wrong oil? to thin maybe? I think installed wrong or snapped it which I haven't heard of on normal use

was the lsd just put in? If so was it shimmed properly? or was the tranny just opened up and it was slapped in? to shim it properly you need to remove both gearsets and bolt the cases together then check the clearances between the case. I just put a cusco diff in and just paid a local honda shop $60 to shim the case properly. Also were the old bearings removed from the old diff and reused or were new ones installed? The bearing can get messed up when pulling off of the old diff. Also is this a obx diff that could be your problem right there. I have heard of these things put together wrong
