for those of you that have a kaaz lsd, i just installed one in my b18c tranny. i noticed a winning noise when deaccelerating in nutral or any other gears. is this a normal noise? i am not sure if it is, i have never deiven in another car with a kaaz. thanks for all the help.

did you do the normal break-in?

are you using kaaz tranny oil?

of yes to both... yes, there often is some noise with these lsd's... after some time it usually goes away...

 

out of curiosity where did you get your lsd and for how much?

 

yea i broke it in, and yes i used kaaz oil.

i got a fully built trans. from a friend, with no miles on it for $1700. it has a aftermarket 1 and 2 gear (i dont remember what right now) ls 5th gear, and a shorter finaldrive (shorter than a type R), and the Kaaz. i know that everything was installed right, and broken in right. i was just conserened about the noise when slowing down. it kind of sounds like it does when in reverse, or if i had straight race gears (like the reverse gear) any ideas? thanks for the help.

yeah some noise is pretty common... usually goes away after a while

i used this in my gsr tranny with a quaife lsd. it works awesome. i just put one little bottle in with honda mtf.
