High to mid 14's. I've also seen a few guys dip into the 13's with I/H/E and awesome driving.

Wow,maybe in a hatch.In my 4th gen w h22,bolt ons,and a zex 55 shot,Im running 13.7-13.9 on street tires.I used to run between 14.6 and 14.9 before the kit,with that said our 1/4 track is slow.......but I have never seen a stock h22 w bolt ons hit 13's on any track.

That's what I said, until I lined up with him and he pulled on me. A few times! I was still running the H23a1 + 90 shot, running 14.1's. I looked his car over when we got to the pits, sure enough I/H/E. No hidden nitrous system. He just knew how to drive really well. Our 60 fts were in the 2.1's, on street tires. (Toyo Proxes)

There are also a few other guys in here running 13's with basic bolt in mods as well. I'm pretty sure they'll stop in sooner or later.

A tuned vafc isnt exactly a bolt on,but its still impressive.

And if he was pulling on u w a 90 shot....he had something going on interally, cams,or a stroker kit,or something, they just dont run that fast.I understand that the driver is everything......but a second in the 1/4 is a second in the 1/4.

13.7's isn't too far fetched for an internally stock H22.

I agree I have yet to see anywhere anyone who broke into the 13's with a H22 and bolt-ons. Best I've seen was I believe 14.2.

You forgot to mention removed ps, ac, and weight redux and maybe even slicks no?

It's not "far fetched" but very, very few inbetween.

Edit also as I said OP try searching, the thread I was talking about was in the faq's

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=810242

Tons of 1/4 mile times and minor mods again no, no 13 second ludes with bolt-ons. At least as of a few months ago.

Precisionlite 13.9
98 VTEC 14.0
Stock internals on slicks.....
Its tough......but not impossible.
The average typical owner is running mid 14's on street tires though....
Cams are pretty much a sure thing into the 13's on DRs...
Seems like as little as 187whp on slicks can do it, not sure about his weight though.

This was wayyy back in the days! Probably 2001 or so. His username on here I believe was Veetec. Red 4G, basic mods.

That would be WARREN from Po.com
He supposedly made some 13sec passes with i/h/e and some tuning. Im not sure about his tire setup though.
There WERE a handful of guys making 14.1-14.2 passes on hp.com in the late 90's with basic mods. Before there were crazy headers(smsp/rmf) they made due with what they had. DC or Greddy and cams from Web and Crane IIRC.

That lucky little bastid!!!
Just curious though....I know you said he ran it a few times....Did he make 13sec runs on more than one night??? Was anyone else making FREAK runs that night? I think you can see where I am going with this.....
Not to take anything away from him though.
A lightened Prelude with i/h/e/vafc on a perfect night when everything bounces the right way can do it, its just very likely that most people will be eating mid 14's all night long.
Do you know what kind of 60' times he was running???

His 60 foot times were not even good 2.2's The car made 2 to 3 13.9 passes that night and a few 14.0's. It's been that a few times on more then on occasion. I think its that car his h23 I/H/E went 14.50' and 60's. When my H23 I/H/E was going 15.0's and 15.1s I think Jason Hunt said it best " dude his car just has sole"

No it was not a freak pass its done it multiple nights.

To many variables to answer that question it all depends on the setup.

That's what came in the car when I first got my 93 si back in 99 that's all I could afford. I made the most of what I had. Drove it the best I could and busted alot of vtec prelude's asses back then. Ahhh the good ole days
