turbo fins
how percise are the exhaust fins
i mean when i bolted my turbo together it was on a bind and i didnt notice it
then i started it and it didnt spin for a couple of seconds and then it sraped for a minute
i took it a part and it looked like the fins where bent over ar curled over a little
anyway it is back together now it it just doesn't feel good it feels fine till like 5 grand and it it is like mute it is at like 12.7 afr throught out the rest of the rpm range but just doesn;t pull at all
is it possible for exhaust to fly by the fins if they where bent a little

I don't know about you, but whenever I put a turbo back to gether, i ALWAYS spend a few minutes spinning the blades with my fingers, making PHHH sounds and such.
If the fins are curled over, chances are your turbine wheel (and shaft, all 1 peice) is junk. There's a good chance its out of balance now, and more likely than not that it will not flow like before.

I can't recall seeing the word 'mute' used in that way. I've tried, but I'm still clueless.
