EG8 Speedo problem

i just bought a bone stock 1995 EG8 with a speedometer that does not work, neither does the odometer. what could this be? any help is appreciated.

Cluster could be old and croaked.

Check the fuses for your instruments.

Wiring could be loose on the connectors to your cluster.

Check the fuses first.

Problem = VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is bad.

replaced the vss, still not working, try the cluster?

i replaced the vss witha brand new one from honda. the speedo is still not working, and it is still throwing a cel. what now? do you think its my cluster?
