My header heat sheild, do i need it?

No but it keeps SOME amount of heat trapped instead of letting it get near the radiator and leaking out to the rest of the engine bay. And it keeps people from seeing the ugly as hell stock header.

But no you don't need it.

Alright, thanks man. Some fat kid told me i needed it that FWD cars will overheat and break down if you took it off, i told him he was full of ****, but i wanted to make sure.

Keep it on. It does help with the heat from the engine. Honda didn't put it on there for looks. You wont gain any HP or loose ANY weight by taking it off.

Then my car should've died a long time ago because I've been running no heat shield for almost a year now ever since it rusted off.
