Turbo is in!!! all minor problems clear but now car will not idle with 370's- Please Help
My turbo install is complete, free of all leaks rattles loose hoses and bolts....basically ready to go
My problem is that when i installed the 370's my FPR will not adjust down (or up for that matter) from the point i had it at all.
And even when leaning them out -50% with the VAFC it is still running rich (around .950 02-voltage)
I basically ran out of adjustment on the AFC and cant lean out any more
Is there some trick to do with the AFC to get some adjustment range back?
Can my FMU be stuck and not letting my FPR adjust idle fuel pressure?
I really apreciate any help in this matter --- i want to give it some boost already

Did you install a new pump? What FPR are you using? With 370's, the AFC should have no problem idling the car, I idled my 440's on a D16 at just -40-45%. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on there? If do, what's it reading?

NeXtLeVeL_TyPe_R, you STILL have not responded to my PM's or e-mails about the Type R fuel pump you promised me. It's ******* lame to see you posting in this forum knowing that part of your turbo setup uses the intercooler I traded you. Folks, do not any business with this guy, he won't deliver everything he promises.
(1:20 PM 5/16/2002) TurboKid: James, I haven't received a response from you via e-mail. What's up w/ the fuel pump? I don't want those cam gears anymore.
(2:07 PM 5/16/2002) NeXtLeVeL_TyPe_R: ok yea my AOl has been down, I was waiting to hear your deciditon I will send out the fuel pump tomorrow afternoon the ups guy came already today, sorry for the long delay, i will next day it -- u will get it on monday.
(2:52 PM 5/16/2002) TurboKid: Cool, could u get me the tracking # for it when it goes out?
(5:26 PM 5/16/2002) NeXtLeVeL_TyPe_R: yea
(4:02 PM 5/20/2002) TurboKid: James, so what's the status of the fuel pump?
(9:59 AM 5/21/2002) TurboKid: Did u send out the fuel pump yet?
(1:17 PM 5/24/2002) TurboKid: James, where is the fuel pump that you promised?
(5:43 PM 5/29/2002) TurboKid: James, WHY ARE YOU IGNORING MY MESSAGES? It's been about 3 weeks and I've yet to receive the Type R fuel pump you said you would send.

I've given you ample time to respond to my e-mails or AT LEAST my PMs to you. If you can post here and ask questions like you have over the last few days, then you have enough time to at least tell me the status of the fuel pump you promised. It's pretty hard to miss a pop up window everytime you log into H-T.

50psi is too hight.. drop it down to about 38-42.
I have 370's, feul pressure 38-42psi at idle, sfc is -30% for 1-3k range....
idle sucks a little but i'm able to deal with it for now..

with the afc hack you dont use a fmu! just the afc wired normally, bigger intank fuel pump and the bigger injectors, usually 440cc

Yes i apologize on the time it took -- O.K.
Things have been hetic around here - you will get your pump in perfect condition just like you got your BRAND NEW NEVER OPENED V-AFC
Anyway i will try lowering the fuel pressure again if the B&m will allow me.
Thanks for the replies that helped

I have the B&M regulator and an intank Walbro. I have a hondata setup and the B&M won't let me go lower than like 44psi. So I set it at like 50psi just to get some regulation. I get a hesitation whenever I get on the throttle and let go then slowly accelerate again. I have been blaming it on the Hondata and tuning issues but I don't think that is it. I'm starting to wonder if the abrupt vaccum then slow throttle does somthing to my fueling. I hear bad things now about the B&M riser so I just ordered the AEM regulator.
Anyone think this may be an issue?

Right NeXtLeVeL, I got your brand new VAFC and you got the FMIC as we had agreed. That doesn't mean you can dishonor the rest of our trade or justify why you have been ignoring my attempts to settle this privately. Let's see if you'll keep your promise this time.
