My turbo GSR is running way too rich...help
i have a GSR turbo runnig on 310cc, a 255lph in tank , a b&m FPR,and a 12:1 vortech FMU. The FPR is turned down ALL THE WAY and i still am running 50lbs at idle! my car is running so rich it is ridiculous. I ordered 8:1 and 10:1 dics to help lean the mixture but that wont affect my pressure at idle. do i need a new FPR or is the b&m a POS?~!
TIA

Possible solutions with your FMU setup.
1. VAFC will work wonders.
2. Ditch the B&M and get SX fpr aka Aeromotive
3. Get it tuned by someone who knows what he is doing.
4. Lastly. Get Hondata OBD1 at the lowest level and sell all the FMU related stuff.
Good luck.

Re: (TeStUdO)
hey Ryan, where did you get 310cc injectors? Are they from a celica GT-S? If yes, how did you get them to work with your intake? I'm just curious because i picked up a set of celica injectors. Thanks

Re: (x2gold)
you should be able to get a little less than 50 out of the b&m.
Is there anything inside the FPR? Are you sure you're setting it with the vacuum line off?
A v-afc should be able to help in this situation as a cheap fix.

yea most definetly, get a better regulator..not saying the B&M aint good but something better....
stay away from AEM is you can...
i had a bad experience once...
FMU 12:1 w/AEM FPR....my car was just dumpin fuel to the point i couldnt crank it...goes to show the FMU shot the diaphram in the FPR so it was dumpin too much fuel
50 psi @ idle is tooo much....i only run about 37-42psi

That's kind of a common problem when running an intank and inline pump. The return part of the factory regulator can't bypass enough fuel to bring the pressure below 50psi. You need to get an afc and tune the fuel curve that way. Even if you get an aeromotive regulator and turn it down, then whole map will still be too rich. You can't go too low on the fuel pressure or the injectors won't operate right.

Re: (tony1)
couldnt i just get the aeromotive FPR and a 8:1 or 10:1 disc skip the AFC and save up for hondata?
do you thinks its possible that the pressure broke the FPR?

Yes....
The b&m is a fuel pressure riser. Once you add an aftermarket fuel pump it cannot lower the fuel pressure low enough. The stock return orface is to restrictive.
You can also run a aem fpr to lower your fuel pressure. I'm runing a 255lph pump and had to buy a aem fpr to drop my fuel pressure down to about 40psi. I've been runing it for ove ra year with no problem.
Buying anything but an actual fpr that can flow enough will NOT remidy this problem (v-afc etc..)...
8:1 fmu is what most generally run with 310cc injectors. I am runing a 4:1 though strange but thats what works for me........(310cc injectors also)
