What motor?

The p28 doesn't require a knock sensor though to the best of my knowledge.

p28 doesn't look for a knock sensor..

for vtec to work you need to 1st make sure the wires are hooked up right, you need to be at operation temp, going more then 20mph,have enough oil and have no codes that will affect vtec.

calm down. is your ecu throwing any other codes? Are the vtec wires hooked up correctly? (vtec solenoid / pressure switch) do you have enough oil pressure? Maybe the filter in your vtec solenoid needs to be cleaned. How are you sure that your vtec isn't activating?

My old B16 had a bad knock sensor, and car wouldn't rev past 7k or something, the check engine light came on, and VTEC would not activate. I don't know anything about the P28 ECU, but mine had a PR3 ECU, and it really screwed me up without the knock sensor.

Why did you remove yours? Was it bed when you got the motor? Mine rotted, and Steve from Hmotors replaced it for free.

dude, if you bought a new oil pump from acura.... and you need/want a new knock sensor. take a guess at where you could find one.
